Check in at DvF

Now London Fashion Week is over, you might get a chance to make a reservation at the Claridge's Hotel. They recently opened two fashionable hotel rooms, designed by Diane von Furstenburg. She's been a regular guest of the hotel since 1970 and describes the hotel as 'the most glamorous in the world'. Breathing new life into the hotel, whilst retaining the very best of the original features, von Furstenberg has created bespoke fabrics and furniture with her iconic prints and bold colours.

Red Alarm

It's the little black dress of cosmetics: red lipstick. A trend that never leaves but will experience a climax this season. Gwen Stefani, Dita von Teese and Angeline Jolie have been wearing red lipstick for years now. They use this seduction weapon to be classy, glamorous and sexy. Red, orange-red, Bordeaux red, almost Gothic red, it doesn't matter. As long as it's RED. And not just for a party or a special occasion! This trend is meant to wear during the day. Be aware that you focus on the lips and don't use a peachy blush or anything like that. You could use a black eyeliner for the Marilyn Monroe-effect.

Million Dollar Baby

Model and great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway, Dree Hemingway has been tapped for a collaboration with fashion house Paco Rabanne. She turned out the be the perfect face of their new women's fragrance: Lady Million. Dree is only 22 years old but has a very powerful charisma. She's tough, sexy, intelligent and classy. A future it-girl, if you'd ask me!

Ra Ra Raak

Obviously Jos van Raak is very popular, because there were over 700 guests at his show at the Westergasfabriek. It was so crowded that not even everybody had a seat! But the Martini Rosato Royales were tasting good and the show was a great success. Just like the mini-shop that opened after the show: a.k.a. the chicken coop. The early adopters could score their favorite pieces straight from the catwalk. For the followers: just go the one of their shops in Amsterdam.

During my press trip to Rome I really experienced La Dolce Vita. Having a party at the most beautiful location, with the most beautiful view overlooking the city, I enjoyed a lovely diner and amazing fireworks, together with Miss Winslet herself. Pinch My Arm. Please.

Meet & Greet with Kate

Together with two hundred journalists from all around the world, I was invited to join a press conference of Longines, where they were presenting their new ambassador: Kate Winslet. Dressed in a figure-hugging black and white dress, she seems a lot smaller and thinner than I expected. She was beautiful, charming, self conscious and... wearing my favorite shoes! Before I knew it, I had the mic in my hand to ask her a question....

Iris van Herpen x United Nude

We love collaborations! And today United Nude and Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen joined forces to create shoes for van Herpen’s Autumn Winter 2010 collection. I see a match! The shoes were presented in her catwalk show during London fashion week and the collaboration shall soon be available as a limited edition item, only available at the world’s most exclusive retailers and at the United Nude Flagship and concept stores in Amsterdam, New York, Shanghai and Vienna at a price of only 1000 euros.

Bizarb

After the frozen lips, the sweaty belly button and the baby footsteps of Cornelie Tollens- which used to be the iconic images on Zarb Champagne bottles - we're going on a deep sea adventure with photographer David Shale. Together with underwaterphotographer Zena Holloway and costume designer Vin Burnham, he took care of the new shell of the bottle. From November in stores, so wide on time to pop those bottles with New Year's Eve!
